Terms of Service

By using Ascend: Monk Mode (the "App"), you accept these terms.

1. Service

Ascend: Monk Mode is a personal-development app offering daily discipline lessons, progress tracking, streaks, and gamified learning. Content is informational and motivational; it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice. Do not make health-related decisions based solely on the App.

2. Account

• You must be 13+ to create an account (see Privacy Policy).
• You are responsible for the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.
• You can fully delete your account anytime from Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete Account".
• Guest mode is also available; in that case data lives only on the device and is lost on device change.

3. Premium Subscription

• Premium can be purchased monthly (com.ascend.premium.monthly) or yearly (com.ascend.premium.yearly) via the Apple App Store.
• A 7-day free trial may be offered for the first period; if not cancelled before the trial ends, it auto-renews.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage and cancel: iPhone → Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
• No refunds for the unused portion of a current subscription period; you may cancel auto-renew at any time.
• Refund or 14-day cooling-off rights, where applicable under local law, must be requested through Apple Support.
• Premium users see no ads and unlock all 250 lessons.

4. Ads (Free Users)

Free users see banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads served via Google AdMob. Ads may appear between lessons and during the heart-refill flow. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission; otherwise you see non-personalized ads. Premium subscribers turn ads off entirely.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the App in violation of law, to harm others, or to abuse the service (e.g. automated bot account creation, reverse-engineering, bypassing subscription checks). We may close accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

6. User Content

What you write (e.g. lesson reflections) is yours. We store it on your device and in your Supabase cloud row, and we delete it when your account is deleted. We do not sell or share this content with third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, curriculum text, and the Ascend brand belong to Berk Demirok. They may not be copied, distributed, or made into derivative works without written permission. Third-party components are subject to their own licenses (e.g. React Native — MIT).

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for software errors, data loss, downtime, or indirect damages arising from use. Personal-development outcomes vary by individual; the App does not guarantee any specific result.

9. Termination

We may close accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account in-app at any time; on deletion all server data is irreversibly removed.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the courts of Istanbul. Statutory consumer rights are reserved.
